Amazon partner forbike lube, pump & CO2 brands.
Cycle Crew is a brand-authorized Amazon seller for chain lube, cleaner, pump and CO2 brands. We take liquids, aerosols and gas cartridges through Amazon's dangerous-goods (hazmat) review, keep them on Prime and keep the safety paperwork off your desk.

Hazmat questions,
answered straight.
Liquids, aerosols and gas cartridges face extra Amazon rules. Here's what these brands ask us, and what we tell them.
-
Can we sell chain lube and aerosol bike cleaner on Amazon Prime?
Yes, once they clear Amazon's dangerous-goods review. Amazon reviews products that contain flammable, pressurized, corrosive or otherwise harmful substances before it stores and ships them, and may ask for a safety data sheet or an exemption sheet.1 Clear, complete product information gets the fastest review.
We already sell lubes, degreasers, aerosols, tubeless sealant and CO2 cartridges with Prime this way, so your line goes through a process we know well.
-
Amazon flagged our lube as dangerous goods. What does it need from us?
Usually a current safety data sheet for that exact product. Amazon reads it for the hazards and the transport details (section 14 of a standard 16-section SDS). An aerosol can is UN1950 under US hazardous-materials rules;2 a lube that isn't regulated for transport can still need an SDS or exemption sheet to show it.
We match the listing to your SDS before it goes to review, and answer Amazon's follow-up questions with the documents you've already given us, so the paperwork stays off your desk.
-
Can we sell CO2 cartridges and inflator kits on Amazon?
Yes. CO2 cartridges are compressed gas, UN1013, Division 2.2, under US hazardous-materials rules,2 so they go through the same dangerous-goods review. An inflator kit with even one cartridge in the box is reviewed as dangerous goods too.
We've taken CO2 cartridges through Amazon's hazmat review and keep them on Prime. Inflator heads and kits get listed with that in mind from the start.
-
Can we say "biodegradable" on our Amazon listing?
Only if you can prove it. The US Federal Trade Commission's Green Guides say an unqualified "biodegradable" claim needs competent and reliable scientific evidence that the entire product will completely break down and return to nature within a reasonably short time after customary disposal.3
We write environmental claims from your own test reports, qualify them the way the report does, and leave out anything you can't support. The same goes for "non-toxic" and "eco-friendly".
-
Do solvent-based cleaners need a California Prop 65 warning on Amazon?
If they contain a listed chemical above the safe-harbor level, yes. For internet sales, California's rules require the warning, or a clearly marked link to it, on the product page, or otherwise shown to the shopper before the purchase is complete.4
The warning goes into each product's listing details. We enter it from your label and keep it matched to your packaging.
-
How do floor and mini pump brands compete with cheap electric pumps?
On proof. Hand pumps win on accuracy, durability and the valve heads riders actually use. We put gauge range and accuracy, maximum pressure, valve fit (Presta, Schrader or both) and the real numbers from your spec sheet up front, with photos of the head and gauge.
If you make electric pumps too, their lithium batteries bring their own Amazon paperwork. That's on our lights and electronics page.
Where lube and CO2 listings
go wrong.
Common problems on lube, cleaner, pump and CO2 pages, and what we do about each.
The wrong safety data sheet
An old revision, or the SDS for a different size or formula, can hold a product in review. We check the SDS against the exact product before we send it.
Kits with a cartridge inside
A repair kit or inflator with one CO2 cartridge or a small bottle of lube is reviewed as dangerous goods as a whole. Kits are built from your line only with your written OK, and listed with that in mind.
Claims you can't back up
"Biodegradable", "non-toxic" and "eco-friendly" need proof behind them. We keep your listings to the claims your test reports support.
Out of stock on a re-buy
Lube and CO2 are bought again and again. Running out loses the repeat buyer, so we keep stock on Prime and plan around the riding season.
We sell this
category every day.
We already sell lubes, degreasers, aerosols, sealant and CO2 cartridges with Prime. Through Amazon's dangerous-goods review, with the safety data sheets behind them.
Pumps too. Floor pumps, mini pumps and CO2 inflators.
Safety paperwork is handled. Safety data sheets, battery and hazmat forms, kept on file and sent when Amazon asks.
